Meet Our Director: Rosie Hanlon
With nearly a decade of experience in pro bono, legal education, and access to justice, Rosie Hanlon founded Access // Advise to break down barriers and ensure that every organisation - big or small - can engage in meaningful social impact work, particularly addressing the unique challenges faced by regional, small and medium law firms.
Rosie’s Experience at a Glance:
✔ Pro Bono & Legal Education – Former Clinic Manager, Module Leader and Academic Tutor at a UK university. Experience teaching across the Foundation programme, LLB and Legal Practice Course.
✔ Pro Bono Policy & Strategy – Supported over 50+ law clinics across the UK as a Clinic Support & Development Officer at a pro bono charity.
✔ Pro Bono Advocate – Member of the National Pro Bono Committee & Co-Chair of the North East Pro Bono Committee.
✔ Social Mobility Advocate – Led country wide report & initiative to improve diversity in the legal profession.
Rosie has worked across universities, law firms and charities driving forward policies and programmes that increase access to justice and improve social mobility, delivering measurable impact for organisations and communities. Her expertise is particularly relevant to regional, small and medium law firms, given her direct experience in understanding their unique challenges in both pro bono and widening access to the legal sector.
